The Shelburne Middle School Band
includes nearly
three hundred members!

six hundred students...well....

You will find that the
Shelburne Band Rocks!
Students begin receiving instruction on their chosen musical instrument during their sixth grade year. Band classes meet daily, by grade level, for forty-two minutes. The sixth and seventh grade band classes are divided by instrument type. The eighth graders rehearse as a full ensemble.
A busy calendar of performances exposes the students to the thrill of sharing their talent with appreciative audiences. The Shelburne Bands can be seen and heard marching in the local Veteran's Day and Christmas Parades. During Winter and Spring Concerts the Bands present outstanding evenings of free music.
Students also have opportunities to perform as members of the Band's Percussion Ensemble, Woodwind Ensemble and Jazz Band. At District and State events, the Shelburne Bands traditionally earn Superior ratings for their musical performances.
